Thanks to the latest scouting activities led in key markets and supported by ITA and Italian Ministry of Economic Development, the leading exhibition for the beauty industry increases its international influence and announces new events abroad for 2018

Cosmoprof Worldwide Bologna, the leading B2B format for the development of the beauty sector, which in 2017 celebrated its 50th anniversary, continues to increase its internationalization and brand promotion activities in key markets.
A rich roadshow program has promoted the initiatives of the 2018 edition of Cosmoprof Worldwide Bologna in South Korea (in Seoul, 18 and 19 September), Thailand (in Bangkok, on 3 and 4 October), Malaysia (in Kuala Lumpur, on 5 and 6 October), Ethiopia (in Addis Ababa, from 5 to 7 October), Vietnam (in Ho Chi Minh, on 11 and 12 October), Russia (in Moscow, from 24 to 26 October), Jordan (in Amman, on 29 and 30 October), Kazakhstan (in Almaty, on 22 and 23 November), Tanzania (in Dar es Salaam on 30 November and 1 December) and Mozambique (in Maputo from 7 to 9 December).
Thanks to the support of the Italian Ministry of Economic Development and ITA – Italian Trade Agency, and with the collaboration of Cosmetica Italia – Personal Care Association, new institutional and commercial contacts have been established, with distributors interested in Cosmoprof Worldwide Bologna to increase the presence abroad of local products, importers looking for international brands to present in their own country, brands evaluating the possibility of an international development of their business, retailers interested in new collaborations and local press. On these occasions it was also possible to analyze the characteristics of each market, in order to respond in the most appropriate way to specific needs, with ad hoc initiatives and new collaborations.
As a consequence of the recent scouting activities, for the 2018 edition Cosmoprof Worldwide Bologna registers an increasing number of international exhibiting companies, and many new contacts are being established with top buyers, distributors and retail chains in the reference markets for the cosmetic industry. The Bologna event, with the opening of Cosmopack and Cosmo | Perfumery & Cosmetics from March 15th to 18th and of Cosmo | Hair & Nail & Beauty Salon from March 16th to 19th, confirms itself as the reference event where to discover the trends and the new product collections.
For 2018 Cosmoprof Worldwide Bologna strengthens the identity of the network at an international level, increasing business opportunities in foreign markets for exhibiting companies.
More than 360,000 professionals and over 6,600 companies are involved in the shows of Bologna, Las Vegas with Cosmoprof North America and Hong Kong with Cosmoprof Asia.
For what concerns Cosmoprof Worldwide Bologna, more than 250,000 beauty professionals and almost 2,700 companies took part in the 50th edition of the event last year.
The latest edition of Cosmoprof Asia in November registered a new attendance record, with 83,793 beauty professionals from 135 countries and regions and 2,877 exhibiting companies, representing 54 countries. The event saw a growth in the exhibition area up to 11%, confirming the success of the “One Fair, Two Venues” format, with two exhibition areas facilitating the development of new business both for companies representing the supply chain, exhibiting in AsiaWorld-Expo at Cosmopack Asia, and for exhibitors of finished product at the Hong Kong Convention & Exhibition Center.
Cosmoprof North America keeps growing at a constant level, with a focus on the world of production and packaging. The 15th edition, from 9 to 11 July 2017, involved 1,261 exhibitors from 46 countries.

 As a statement of the international appeal of the show, 12 country pavilions attended the exhibition, confirming the fact that Cosmoprof North America is the most important event in the United States for the cosmetic sector.

For 2018, the network of Cosmoprof Worldwide Bologna presents a new international edition, Cosmoprof India, scheduled in Mumbai on 10 and 11 September 2018 at the Sahara Star Hotel.

With this initiative, the Cosmoprof platform enters India, a constantly evolving market for the beauty sector, with a 60% increase in consumption over the last 5 years and an overall value expected to reach 20 billion dollars in 2025. The event, organized by Bologna Fiere and UBM, represents a new strategic opportunity both for companies of finished product, for Cosmetics & Toiletries, Beauty Salon, Hair, Nail and Accessories, and for the supply chain, with leaders in the segments of raw materials and ingredients, contract manufacturing and private label, primary and secondary packaging.

Simultaneously with the development of Cosmoprof events around the world, the network is confirming crucial partnerships with B2B events abroad, with reference to a local level, where Bologna Fiere Cosmoprof plays as international sales agent. This strategy aims at establishing new business relationships, consolidating the presence of the Cosmoprof format in key foreign countries.

The 2018 Memorandum of Understanding has been renewed between BolognaFiere S.p.A. and Iran International Exhibitions Co., Tehran fair agency, confirming the collaboration for the next edition of Iran Beauty & Clean, the B2B event for the cosmetic industry for Middle East and the whole Gulf area, offering growing opportunities for the international cosmetic industry.

The collaboration of Bologna Fiere Cosmoprof for Belleza y Salud 2018, scheduled from 3 to 7 October, has been confirmed. The event, organized by CORFERIAS – International Business and Exhibition Center of Bogotá in partnership with ANDI – National Business Association of Colombia, boasts the presence of more than 370 exhibitors and 56,000 visitors, and it is an important business opportunity for distributors, suppliers, companies of import / export and beauty managers in South America, interested in international trends and innovation.

New collaborations in Southeast Asia are planned for 2018. Bologna Fiere Cosmoprof will participate in AseanBeauty, in Thailand from 3 to 5 May 2018, PhilBeauty, in the Philippines from 30 May to 1 June 2018, VietBeauty, in Vietnam from 19 to 21 July 2018 and BeautyExpo, in Malaysia from 5 to 8 October 2018. Thanks to these initiatives the network of Cosmoprof Worldwide Bologna strengthens its presence in growing markets of the Asian continent, in search of new business relationships and new opportunities for the development of the cosmetic industry.
