INDUSTRY 4.0 connects embedded system production technologies and smart production processes to pave the way to a new technological age. Accenture is playing a key role in this scenario with many customers that already have started to deploy Industry 4.0 in their business. Smart Manufacturing with usage of digital enablers such as wearable devices, connected workers and connected machines builds operational efficiency underlying infrastructure that enables manufactures to advantage their IIoT journey, adapting their offerings and driving new revenue opportunities.
We believe this is the right momentum in Italy to start this journey according with the new Italian Government funding to improve the competitive advantage in the global business competition.

Luca De Biase is a journalist of the Italian daily Il Sole 24 Ore and co-founder of Italia Startup. He was the founder and editor of Nòva24, the weekly technology and new media insert of Il Sole 24 Ore. His blog deals with the knowledge economy, news and social media. He is the author of In Nome del Popolo Mondiale (2001), Giornalisti Online: manuale di giornalismo nell’epoca di internet (2003), Economia della felicità (2007), Cambiare Pagina. His blog deals with the knowledge economy, news and social media. His latest book, co-authored with Telmo Pievani, is Come saremo (Codice Edizioni, 2016).

> Massimiliano Oddi - Senior Advisor, Accenture CP Lead Manufacturing & Industrial Internet of Things

Senior Advisor, Accenture CP Lead Manufacturing & Industrial Internet of Things - Massimiliano has almost 20 years of experience in Operations Manufacturing. He is specialized in World Class Manufacturing, Digital Operations Transformation, Global Engineering Direction, Operations continuous improvements, with experiences in diverse industry sectors. The last in Luxottica Group for 8,5 years with different global executive positions in USA, Italy, China, Brazil: Global Engineering Direction Frames, Lean System Luxottica Program Director, Process & Technology Development Manager, and Oakley Inc as Vice President Manufacturing. Massimiliano holds an Engineering Master degree - Università di Padova (Italy), Finance background - SDA Bocconi (Milano) and he is certified Lean-Six Sigma Master Black Belt.



> Daniele Vacchi - Direttore Corporate Communications, IMA Group SpA

Born in Bologna on 6 November 1953, two children. In the 1980s Sales and Marketing Manager of companies operating in the packaging sector.  Since 1991 he has been working for IMA, a world leader in the design and manufacture of automatic machines for the processing and packaging of pharmaceuticals, cosmetics, food, tea and coffee. IMA S.p.A. has been listed on the Milan Stock Exchange since 1995. He is currently Corporate Communications Director of the IMA Group. He actively collaborates with national and local government agencies on economic and territorial development schemes. Since 2011, he is Secretary General of E.R.-AMIAT, an association based in Belgium and representing the interests of a large cluster of advanced mechanics and automation technologies.







> Luca Tomesani - Head of Interdepartmental Centre for Industrial Research in Advanced Mechanical Engineering Applications and Materials Technology, Professor of Department of Industrial Engineering University of Bologna

Luca Tomesani obtained the degree in Mechanical Egineering in 1992 at the University of Bologna. He worked 5 years in the field of manufacturing of defence systems at Riva Calzoni SpA, as responsible for technical innovation. Researcher in 1992, he worked on metal forming, casting and advanced laser processing. He is author of about 200 international publications. Associate professor in 2001, then full professor in 2016, he teaches fundamental courses in Mechanical Technology and Manufacturing Systems at the School of Engineering and Architecture. He was coordinator and scientific responsible of FP7, H2020, MIUR, MISE, PORFESR and private research projects. He is actually Director of the Industrial Research Centre CIRI MAM which belongs to the High Technology Network of Emilia Romagna. He is UniBo delegate for the participation to the National Cluster “Fabbrica Intelligente” and to EFFRA. He is member of AITEM - Italian Association of Mechanical Technology

> Thomas Berloffa - Virtual Reality Creative Director, ICONODROME

Selected as one of the best “New Italian Designers” from the Triennale of Milan, Thomas Berloffa has been responsible for projects for national and international museums, foundations, musical artists, private companies and public administrations. Awarded with an honorable mention at the XX edition of the Premio Compasso d’Oro, he has curated cultural events in more than 20 countries. He currently teaches and lectures at the European Institute of Design in their Master of International Design program. He has been a key collaborator of the artist Marina Abramovic with regard to the branding of the Marina Abramovic Institute (Hudson,
NY) and for the promotion of the same as curator of all graphics and design. He has also worked extensively for the architectural studio of Daniel Libeskind, curating various projects related to architecture. His personal style combines a marketing oriented approach enriched with art and design elements which contribute to creating projects which demonstrate a strong and precise institutional profile, but which have a decidedly artistic imprint as well.
