Pamela Jo BUSIEK, President and CEO, ICMAD

Pamela Jo Busiek became President and CEO of the Independent Cosmetics Manufacturers and Distributors (ICMAD) in July 2011. She also served on the Board of Directors for four years including President. Busiek’s entrepreneurial background makes her well suited in this role. Her goals are to improve collaboration within the industry, increase benefits and services to members, and grow ICMAD. Busiek has been in the beauty industry for more than 34 years and served as President of CBI Laboratories for five years and created and marketed her own international skincare and vitamin line under The Solutions Companies. Busiek’s passion is quality and excellence that were cultivated through her initial exposure to the beauty world as a graduate of the Neiman Marcus Executive Training Program. She is an international speaker on the benefits of private label, advocacy and business growth. Busiek attended Southern Methodist University and graduated with a business degree with a concentration in Economics and Marketing.

Craig WEISS, Chair of Technical/Regulatory Committee, ICMAD

Craig Weiss received a B.S. in biology for Monmouth College, prior to arriving at Consumer Product Testing Co. Craig held technical positions at Del Laboratories, Norwich Eaton Pharmaceuticals (Proctor and Gamble) and Roxane Laboratories.

Craig began his career with Consumer Product Testing Co., Inc. as the Vice President of the Product Technology Analysis and Control Division (PTAC), which was comprised of the Microbiology and Analytical Chemistry departments.  PTAC, now known as the Analytical Service Division, offers such varied services as water system validations, cleaning validation, production environmental monitoring and routines analysis.    

In 1993 Craig became a corporate Vice President and in 1999 he became the President of Consumer Product Testing Co., Inc. 

Craig is active in many trade organizations and is a member of ICMAD’s board of directors, serving as treasurer and is the chairman of its technical, regulatory committee. Craig is also a member of the SCC and PCPC serving on its Scientific Advisory Committee.  Additionally, Craig sits on numerous international expert panels.

Dr. Robb AKRIDGE, Co-Founder and VP of Clinical Affairs, Pacific Bioscience Laboratories

Dr. Robb Akridge, PhD, is co‐founder of Clarisonic, the #1 cleansing device recommended by US Dermatologists, which has sold more than 15 million devices worldwide. He helps develop technologically advanced and clinically proven Clarisonic devices that make a clear difference in skin health and appearance. Dr. Robb represents the Clarisonic brand around the world, meeting with international partners, customers and journalists, as well as appearing on television to sell Clarisonic devices. Prior to this role, Dr. Robb served in many roles at the company, including the GM of Clarisonic worldwide and the Vice President of Clinical Research. Dr. Robb received his PhD in Immunology from Texas A&M University and has spent over 25 years in medical and global health research, specifically HIV/AIDS research. His career also includes scientist and clinical trial management positions at Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research Center, ICOS Corporation, and Sonicare®.
Robb is a member of many professional organizations including the American Academy of Dermatology as an Adjunct Research Member. He also serves as Chairman of the board of ICMAD (Independent Cosmetic Manufacturers and Distributors), and he recently founded his latest adventure, REA Innovations, LLC.

Sharon A. BLINKOFF, Secretary & General Counsel, ICMAD

Ms. Blinkoff represents manufacturers, marketers, and distributors of cosmetics, dietary supplements, over the counter drugs, and medical devices as well as beauty appliances and other consumer products and luxury goods. Ms. Blinkoff regularly advises clients on compliance with the laws enforced by the FDA, CPSC, and the FTC, and obtaining FDA registrations and 510k premarket clearances.

For many years Ms. Blinkoff has played a leadership role in the Cosmetics and Personal Care Industry serving on the Board of Directors and as Corporate Secretary for the Independent Cosmetic Manufacturers and Distributors (ICMAD) Trade Association. Ms. Blinkoff on behalf of ICMAD has served as part of the industry negotiating team that met with representatives of the US FDA to develop a framework for new Cosmetic legislation.
