Founded in 2006 and nestled along the Baltic Sea, AS MADARA Cosmetics is an organic cosmetics manufacturer, whose formulations are based on highly active natural ingredients, harvested in the meadows, lakes and forests of Baltic/Northern region. Both ingredients and final formulations are certified according to the international ECOCERT/Cosmos standard. In as little as 10 years, AS MADARA Cosmetics has grown from a small Latvian business to internationally recognised fine skincare company, whose creations are present in nearly 30 countries around the world. Under a brand's name MÁDARA the company offers a complete range of organic skin care, body care, hair care and baby care products. AS MADARA Cosmetics pioneered scientific research and ingredient innovations based on Northern plants 10 years ago, and now owns one of the most advanced organic skincare factories in Northern Europe, combining a wide, clean production area, a warehouse, a product development and quality control laboratory, office space and factory store. Constructed according to the open business principle, the factory itself is accessible to the public, as perhaps the story of Latvian nature and business will serve as a source of inspiration for good things. In 2014, the company launched its budget brand MOSSA that also offers a range of organic and ECOCERT certified skin care and body care products, based on vitamin formula of various Northern berries. The company also offers contract manufacturing, product formulation and private label services. MÁDARA is the name of a unique Northern wild herb (Galium Verum) that only grows in a pure soil, free from pesticides and other chemicals. Picked as a symbol of all organic Northern ingredients used in brand's products, it is also a popular woman’s name in Latvia. AS MADARA Cosmetics is listed on the Nasdaq Baltic First North market.
