Cosmoprof is internationally recognised as the place where innovative products and trends in the beauty world are first discovered. A prevailing market trend is undoubtedly a focus on sustainability. Businesses are committed to becoming eco-sustainable in terms of both their organisation and their products while consumers are becoming increasingly aware of natural ingredients and completely eco packaging. 

Cosmoprof has enthusiastically embraced this trend and will be presenting events and projects related to this theme at its upcoming edition. The new initiatives devised by the fair also aim to highlight Cosmoprof’s commitment to making the whole event more sustainable.

In addition to our own events, we are also committed to promoting exhibitors’ projects that are aimed at keeping up with this trend. In addition to sustainability, the circular economy will also be a main theme at the fair.

COSMOPACK - HALLS: 20, 15, 15a, 18 and 19

Sustainability and the circular economy will also be the central themes in Cosmopack. The cosmetics industry is being called upon to find new manufacturing solutions to reduce the environmental impact of production processes, using renewable energy sources, and recycling waste products from manufacturing. These topics will come to the forefront in the seventh edition of the Factory project, where a hair product – eco of course –created live will be showcased.

This is the temple of green beauty. For years Hall 21 has been hosting the most sought-after companies and products from this sector for the retail world. As you walk along the aisles it’s hard not to notice the variety and international reach of a constantly growing and expanding market. New solutions, new textures, and increasingly effective products line up to map out the trends of tomorrow.

COSMO HAIR &NAIL & BEAUTY SALON - HALLS: 25, 31, 32, 33, 35, 36, 37, 28, 29 and 30

COSMO Hair & Nail & Beauty Salon bring together finished product companies for the world of hair, nails, and beauty, exhibitors of equipment for beauty salons and spas, and specialists in accessories and furnishings. Together, these halls make up a significant percentage of the fair’s exhibition space, which equates to hundreds of businesses placing a growing focus on green solutions, natural products, and corporate eco-sustainability. We are delighted to be able to show you two companies that have developed two truly deserving projects. Click on the images to find out about their stories. 


Oway, one of our exhibitors from the hair sector, was born as an eco-friendly project, beginning with the production of raw materials. In ORTOFFICINA farm on the hills of Bologna, we grow with biodynamic method and at zero-mile plants, shrubs and aromatic herbs that become ultra-performing complexes of essential oils, extracts and hydrolates of our formulations. The biodynamic method is the purest and most effective type of cultivation: free of pesticides, herbicides, insecticides and synthetic fertilisers.

Organic and biodynamic raw materials are combined with carefully selected natural ingredients, like pure oils, waxes, butters and emollient plants, and the purest and most sustainable active and functional ingredients. Aggressive and potentially harmful synthetic products are replaced by natural and more delicate alternatives.

Each product is formulated according to the principles of the most advanced green chemistry which guarantees a perfect balance between natural formula and professional performance.

Oway chose amber glass and aluminium packaging for its products, that are 100% recyclable and reusable ad in nitum. They only use essential packaging to minimise our environmental impact. The company say no to overpackaging, secondary wrappings and packing materials, which often end up being discarded immediately after purchase.

OWAY has chosen to use renewable energy in its production facilities, using the cleanest, most natural and inexhaustible source available to our planet: the sun.

OWAY’s commitment to a healthy and positive lifestyle also pervades every action we carry out daily at our Company: the use of electric cars, recycling of materials, organic shopping and at zero-mile for people working at OWAY.


Lemi Group, an exhibitor from the world of beauty, has begun a journey of growth that involves various different aspects and focuses on the continuous improvement of both their staff and their working environment. Examples from this journey include the installation of photovoltaic panels and LED lighting systems for clean energy consumption.

Another example is the selection of new suppliers and new materials in keeping with the company’s new philosophy. Lemi has also taken the concept further by addressing the issue of social sustainability.

The company has implemented morning and afternoon breaks and created a dedicated area which is spacious, light, and equipped for making light meals. This completely new space offers employees the chance to have lunch in the workplace without having to eat at their desks or go out in their cars. Saving time and energy in this way allows staff the opportunity to relax over lunch in a shared space without having to keep checking their watches.

A gym area has been created as part of the company’s improvement initiative to promote wellness. After work or during breaks, employers can use top-quality equipment to set up a personal fitness plan based on their individual needs. This enables them to keep up with regular physical activity, which is often difficult to organise because of schedules, commitments, or lack of willpower.

With its international reach and global vision as a world leader in wellness, Lemi couldn’t not focus on employees’ language skills, and therefore it has introduced English lessons structured according to each individual’s knowledge level.
