Sustainability is now a strategic lever for the competitiveness of the Italian cosmetics sector. With the Sustainability Observatory, Cosmetica Italia, in collaboration with Ergo, a spin-off of the Scuola Superiore Sant'Anna in Pisa, monitors companies' ESG performance in a structured manner, transforming the data into strategic direction and guidance for future decisions.

Since 2025, the initiative has also involved the supply chain, offering a representative snapshot of the sector's commitment. The findings confirm a growing focus on reducing environmental impacts, resource efficiency, and the use of energy from renewable sources.
