Senator of the Republic, Cavaliere del Lavoro, Renato Ancorotti is since 2009 the founder and president of Ancorotti Cosmetics SpA, a company active in cosmetic research and manufacturing. He took his first steps in the cosmetics sector in 1984 when he founded Gamma Croma Srl, remaining at the helm for more than twenty years and in 2004 he inaugurated the first company nursery school in the province for his employees. In 2019, with the requalification of the former Olivetti factory in Crema, he inaugurated a new 30,000 m2 highly energy efficient production center. With Ancorotti Cosmetics, he launched the "Network for Cosmetics" project, aimed at supporting the employment inclusion of disadvantaged categories and promotes the establishment of IFTS and ITS courses in cosmetics, getting the appointment as President of the ITS Foundation for New Technologies for Made in Italy. In 2018 he was elected president of Cosmetica Italia, in 2020 he became a member of the Federchimica Board of Directors and Federchimica's representative for Confindustria’s Technical Group for Internationalization. He held these positions until his candidacy for the Senate of the Republic for the XIX Legislature. He is currently a member of the 9th Standing Committee, of the Italian Delegation to the OSCE Parliamentary Assembly and is a Member of the Parliamentary Commission of Inquiry on femicide and all forms of gender-based violence.
