FOR THE CATEGORY MAKE UP & NAIL PRODUCTS WINS AEKYUNG INDUSTRIAL CO., LTD (South Korea)

“Great concept, beautiful formula, very nice packaging, wonderful claims,” was how one juror described AGE20'S Signature Essence Pact. The product captures a 71% concentration of essence in a foundation, combining skin care, UV protection, and make-up qualities. Another panel member noted that the product offered an “amazing texture and result on [the] skin - very natural.” The product is formulated with an Aqua Pocket technology, to release essence droplets as it’s applied to hydrate the skin, nourishing while creating a dewy, radiant finish. Added to this, SPF 50+ protection prevents sun damage, while the foundation itself is formulated with three complementary tones in one shade, for an effect in the compact dubbed Latte Art. The tones are comprised of beige, for full coverage; white, for brightening and radiance; and gold, for an imperfection-blurring effect. All three tones blend seamlessly for a healthy-looking finish. Indeed, the panel praised the formula’s “very beautiful aesthetic design.” The cushion comes in 11 shades, and its ingredients include niacinamide, hyaluronic acid, and panthenol.

FOR THE CATEGORY GREEN & ORGANIC WINS N&B S.R.L. SOCIETÀ BENEFIT (Italy)

The jury singled out this serum for “pairing green biotech with clinical efficacy.” An organic, water-free formulation, the serum contains prebiotic and postbiotic actives and cold-extracted km0 ingredients – a term that refers to their local sourcing and production – which all provide immediate regenerating, reparative, and slow-aging effects. One juror noted that they “loved this one - the feeling on skin was impeccable,” and that they “loved the sourcing story, too.” The formula is based on pure aloe vera gel from Salento, Italy, and contains 89% locally sourced organic ingredients obtained via regenerative farming and cold-extracted in the km0 production process. The aloe vera acts on the skin’s microbiota in a personalized way. In tests of the Salento aloe vera ingredient, the active showed a 157% increase in “good” bacteria Staphylococcus epidermidis on the skin three hours after application and an 100% elimination of “bad” bacteria Staphylococcus aureus. These microbiome claims were pronounced by the panel as particularly “on trend.” The serum also helps to regenerate the skin barrier for a slow aging effect, and results in a 26.5% reduction in water loss in 14 days. Its ingredients are obtained via regenerative farming, while circular practices such as rainwater harvesting and composting of ingredient by-products contribute to sustainability, too. The serum is packaged in a PCR recycled airless bottle, which is sustainable and protects the formula.

FOR THE CATEGORY SKIN & BODY CARE PRODUCTS WINS NANOBIOSYSTEM CO., LTD. (South Korea)

“Invisible,” “amazing,” and “disruptive” were among the adjectives jurors used to praise these skin-healing patches. The invisible patches, the result of over 20 years of regenerative medicine research, act to promote skin regeneration while reducing scars with minimal irritation. They are designed for both wound healing and to minimize acne scars. The patches are made with a hydrocolloid base with medical-grade polyurethane film. Incorporated into the patches too is a nano-pattern which stimulates fibroblast migration and epidermal regeneration. One juror called the product a “disruptive nano patch that elevates skin care with clinically based innovation.” The patches can be worn throughout the day, and offer an invisible, waterproof finish. They’re designed to be used to heal acne, after laser procedures, or to help sensitive skin recover. One panel member liked that they can “be worn for hours,” and called them “a great concept for healing and skin regeneration.”

FOR THE CATEGORY HAIR PRODUCTS WINS AMAXY (Usa)

The judging panel called this dry shampoo a “great concept.” Its formula reimagines dry shampoo as a clear, non-aerosol gel which acts to refresh the scalp, boost volume, and eliminate odors for 12 hours. The product was created with input from Gen Z consumers and avoids the white residue and aerosol irritation that’s associated with traditional dry shampoos, with the lack of white residue making it ideal for darker hair shades. The panel said the formula “really works,” and added that it boasts an “amazing texture,” noting that the product would be “great for festivals.” Its ingredients include microalgae, or Chlorella vulgaris, which absorbs excess oil and balances the scalp; bisabolol and ginger root extract to soothe and reduce itchiness; and Centella asiatica, with anti-bacterial and anti-inflammatory properties. The formula is packaged in a TSA-compliant recyclable tube with a precise nozzle applicator for a hygienic application. With a fragrance that blends herbal, citrus, and woody notes – a scent that the jury “loved” – the product is applied to the scalp and dries in 30 seconds.

FOR THE CATEGORY FORMULATION WINS ICURE PHARM & COSMETICS INC. (South Korea)

Jurors described this vegan PDRN serum formula as “beautiful” and “soothing.” The formula draws on the Artemisia capillaris plant – also known as Korean mugwort – as its source of PDRN. The PDRN acts to boost collagen and hyaluronic acid production, helping to firm, calm, and revitalize the skin, and is refined via an eco-friendly process without using phenol or chloroform. The panel also called out the serum’s inclusion of 13 types of hyaluronic acid, alongside its standout texture. This texture is achieved thanks to the semi-emulsion formula, which disperses oil ingredients stably between polymeric thickeners, without the use of traditional emulsifiers. By utilizing this self-emulsifying thickening system, the formula offers both stability and comfort. It combines the benefits of transparent solubilized formulas – which provide a lightweight feel but can lack sufficient moisturization – and emulsified formulas, which deliver rich hydration but tend to feel heavy and oily. Indeed, jurors confirmed the formula’s hydrating texture on application, alongside its quick absorption. The formula’s silky, non-sticky texture absorbs smoothly, so it can be used on all skin types.

FOR THE CATEGORY PACKAGING: DESIGN & MATERIALS WINS SHINKWANG M&P (South Korea)

Incorporating a core Airless Pump technology that eliminates air bubbles in the container, Shinkwang M&P’s Air Mist bottle has been conceived to ensure a fine mist spray. Using natural compressed air instead of liquefied petroleum gas, the design delivers a continual spray action while being eco-friendly. The jury called the bottle’s design a “nice sustainable [alternative to an] aerosol, [with a] beautiful spray pattern.” The panel also liked how “wide an area the mist covers at once,” offering a “micro-mist delivery without aerosol.” With the airless mist technology providing efficiency, versatility, and the ability to create a fine, even mist, it’s particularly suited to skin care and cosmetic formulations. Patents for the concept have been obtained both domestically and internationally, with the packaging targeted at brands looking for packaging solutions for facial and body mists. One juror noted that the packaging offered “an amazing experience: elevated [and] luxurious – I want this now.”
