The Cosmoprof India Awards, a special project of the Cosmoprof network curated by the international agency BEAUTYSTREAMS, celebrated the best products, the most interesting design proposals, and the innovations of Cosmoprof and Cosmopack India.
A prestigious panel of experts from around the world selected the best in cosmetics among the exhibitors of the 2023 edition. The winners were announced during the Award Ceremony held on December 7 at the Sofitel Hotel, Mumbai.
The judging panel of the Cosmopack Awards was intrigued by this skincare formulation that captures the effect of micro-needles in an oily essence containing soluble microcrystals of hyaluronic acid. The two-step treatment involves applying the essence to the face, with the skin stimulated by a gentle massage in the targeted area.
Subsequently, the accompanying serum is applied in a circular motion, dissolving the microcrystals. It is believed to be a highly interesting product for the Western market, as well as for the anti-aging market, with impressive results.
Albéa's EcoFusion packaging innovation allows the creation of a tube using two components instead of three, captivating the judging panel on multiple levels. The design results in a packaging weight reduction of over 80%, compared to a standard tube construction with head and cap.
When combined with Metamorphosis, Albéa's bio-based, paper-based laminated material, the tube offers 50% paper content and a 45% reduction in carbon footprint compared to standard tubes. A responsible solution to reduce both plastic and weight in packaging, while containing the costs.
A lip balm formulated with 51% green apple juice instead of demineralized water, created through the company's EmulStick technology, resulting in a balm composed of 58% active ingredients. The green apple juice ingredient is said to accelerate cell proliferation for an energizing effect, while the balm captures the moisturizing sensation of a cream or serum.
A lip balm that pushes the boundaries of natural care and offers a new level of efficacy and sensation, enhancing color with a focus on regenerating cell growth.
The judges celebrated this in-salon treatment for its multi-targeted approach, addressing dryness, brittleness, and lack of hydration. The mask was also deemed innovative for deep moisturizing hair, providing them with shine, body, and volume. Olaplex was described as a "trustworthy brand" whose products make hair "easier to manage."
The mask is formulated with a blend of professional-strength ceramides, oils, and 11 amino acids, to provide a deep-conditioning salon treatment.
