Don't stop beauty: new models of business and education for the beauty industry

Our #dontstopbeauty project is back with more case stories of flexibility and innovation from the exhibitors of Cosmoprof Worldwide Bologna.
 
In this period marked by unexpected economical, social and regulatory swings, the players of the beauty industry have been reacting for the sake of their own business and clients.
 
Despite imposing to halt work and remain distant, these days are still full of desire to think ahead and start a new business models as well as new ways of providing education and information are taking shape.  
  
It’s time to meditate, compare and lay the foundations for a brand new start in the beauty industry. For beauty will not stop, and neither will its connections nor the demand for education and specialization.

Schwarzkopf Professional and Indola

Schwarzkopf Professional and Indola – two professional haircare brands by Henkel – decided to support the hairdressers’ global community by launching HelpYourSalon.it, a free platform where hairdressers can offer vouchers to their customers. This initiative has been designed to facilitate business and help hairsalons to get over this tricky phase, by generating revenue immediately; moreover it may help increase the customer loyalty, as customers can thus demonstrate how much they trust and care for their preferred salon, by returning the attentions received before the lockdown started.

Emsibeth Cosmetics


Emsibeth Cosmetics, an Italian professional haircare company, has released a series of online education, updating sessions and debates. The existing customers will be able to attend 10 webinars with specific updates on techniques and styles, while any other people interested will enjoy two live appointments a week on their Facebook page. Hairstylists can expect interviews and meetings with the experts. The conversations will be focussing on the current scenario, like how to deal with change and fear, how to keep your salon safe, how to apply for loans and social security cushions, and much more.

Henkel

Henkel Beauty Care Professional is proud to present Hairdressers United; the first 24hr global online hair festival! In a celebration of solidarity with the hairdressing industry, the unique concept brings together some of the world's biggest hair and beauty care professionals under one digital roof. The 24hr live stream event will see 36 different hair artists, from 19 countries present a variety of educational and creatively inspiring content that showcases: hair colouration how-to’s, cut and styling inspiration and up-do tutorials. Powered by social media, the 24hr event will be hosted across Instagram and Facebook, with YouTube on hand to support with creative content during short breaks between live streams: click here for more info.

Tricol, which is a family business  specialized in the production of professional products for hairstylists, has quickly converted its production lines to sanitizing gels. Sprays, hand sanitizers and surface disinfectants are the new essential must-haves for professionals in the sector, who are going back to work with strength and energy!
